| A FINE OTTOMAN PRESENTATION DAGGER BICHAQ
Made in the Istanbul Court Workshops, the jade grip carved with acanthus leaves around the pommel which is set with a silver gilt filigreed finial. The single-edged blade forged of Istanbul beyaz wootz damascus steel, with gold inlaid cartouches at the forte on either side, that on the left enclosing an Arabic inscription. The ferrule, bolsters and scabbard likewise inlaid with gold in scrolled motifs overall. Mid- 19th century.

A RARE OTTOMAN POWDERHORN BARUTLUK
Of characteristic form, the wooden body covered with leather, the obverse with scarlet velvet set with numerous silver studs in geometrical patterns. The spout and plug of ivory, the plug secured with a silver chain. Late 17th-early 18th century.

| A Set of Persian Armor
Comprising a helmet of classic form with vandyked camail, spiked finial, plume holders and adjustable nasal, a shield with four central bosses and applied brass rim, and an armguard with buckles, the set embellished en suite with chiseled foliate motifs and Quranic verses, and inlaid with gold and silver overall. Deaccessioned by the Higgins Armory Museum, Worcester, MA., originally acquired by founder J. Woodman Higgins in 1927. C. 1800.

| A German Hunting Sword
A rare type of large dimensions, the grip a single section of staghorn carved with an animated hunting scene involving stags and a bear pursued by hunters in period dress on the obverse and rococo motifs on the reverse. Straight, single-edged blade with backedge. Pommel, guard and scabbard mounts of silver, the locket hallmarked. The scabbard of wood covered in leather with an aperture for a by-knife. C. 1750 71 cm overall

| A Matched Presentation Shamshir & Khanjar
The pair mounted en suite with elaborately embossed and chased silver mounts, scabbards studded with large box-set emeralds, the sword hilt with classic crossguard, pommel and grips, the dagger with superbly carved hilt of deep violet agate with touches of cream and russet, the pommel a fully modeled horse’s head with finely-detailed mane. Probably made at Delhi for presentation to the Ottoman Empire. C. 1750 Sword 88 cm overall, dagger 41 cm overall. |

| An American Civil War Era Bowie Knife
The German silver mounted hilt highly embellished with vegetal motifs and
an American Eagle flanked by mother of pearl panels, the broad blade with clipped tip
and etched panel to left side with an eagle and the motto, "We Ask For Nothing But What Is Right/ And Submit To Nothing That Is Wrong, and Draw Me Not In Haste" beneath an American Eagle in profile. Struck at the left forte, Henry & Co. Warranted and at the right forte, Warranted Cutlery. In its original gilt-stamped red leather sheath with German silver mounts. C. 1860. 35.2 cm overall, blade 20.7 cm.

| A Rare Eastern Commander’s Mace Buzogan
Of heavily gilded copper, embossed and chased overall in characteristic vegetal and baroque motifs, the heavily-weighted head set with a large and unusual stone or glass of deep green color. Such maces were carried by Ottoman, Polish and Russian commanders in the field as well as on parade and are very rarely found on the market. C. 1750.58.5 cm. overall. |

| A Thai Spearhead of Unusual Proportions
The exceptionally large handforged blade of characteristic expanding-leaf form with substantial central ridge, set in a socket of heavily gilded silver with rectangular pierced guard, the ferrules deeply chiseled, engraved and gilt in intricate floral and vegetal motifs. Probably a court piece. C. 1750 116.5 cm., blade 54 cm

| An American Revolutionary War-Period Powderhorn
The body of blond cowhorn with darker mottling toward the tip,
with characteristics turning and faceting, the body engraved with an American Eagle surrounded by 13 stars, gripping a banner inscribed, "E Pluribus Unum" and surmounting an escutcheon bearing stripes and set with 13 arrows, all above an elaborate pedestal. C. 1790.Length 37.5 cm

| A Fine Ottoman Poignard Dagger
A rare type, the grips of characteristic form with raised central rib, set with silver bosses and filigreed tangband, the straight, double-edged blade tapering acutely to an armor-piercing tip with chiseled central panel showing a dark watered steel pattern. The wooden scabbard entirely covered in embossed and chased silver in Ottoman baroque motifs. C. 1730.Overall 49 cm, blade 35 cm.

| Rajasthan Toradar Musket
The fine wooden stock of characteristic form complete with original ramrod, the iron mounts and barrel completely encrusted in heavy gold with typical Rajasthan flowering vine motifs. Pierced trigger, sideplates with crimson inlays, the muzzle flared in lotus form and deeply chiseled. A princely firearm dating c. 1750. Overall length 170 cm., barrel 116 cm. |
